On March 9, 2022, the new production line for the main fuse box was put into operation. Another step to transform the company towards new markets. The date was well chosen, because on that day Adam Norwitt, President and Chief Executive Officer, Craig Lampo, Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Amphenol Corporation World Headquarters and Dieter Ehrmanntaut, Vice President and Group General Manager of Amphenol Automotive Products Group visited FEP. With the push of a button, the new production line was commissioned by Adam Norwitt and Guido Glinski.

The main fuse box is built into electric motors for vehicles. Once installed, the box houses several fuses. The component protects the entire electrical system of electric vehicles. For example, the fuses help prevent a cable fire in the event of an overload.

From 11th – 13th March 2022, we presented ourselves at the trade fair “Karriere Start” in Dresden.

During the 3 days, interested people were able to find out about the many opportunities for training, studying and careers at FEP.

In a consortium with ten project partners under the leadership of the reputable automobile supplier Brose, FEP is participating in the development of a process ready to go into series production to manufacture plastic-metal hybrids.

In order to limit Corona pandemic, FEP is participating together with Digades, Exelonix and Barkhauseninstitut, with allowance of Free Federal State Saxony, in the development of a Corona-Buzzer. This small device offers people without smartphone, like e.g. children or elderly people the same security like the Corona warning app.
